Joe Biden, the president of the United States, declared a state of disaster on Tuesday for the largest Native American Reservation in the U.S. This reservation extends over Arizona, Utah, and New Mexico. Biden stated that storms from Jan. 14-17 affected many Navajo community.

The money will be used to help pay for emergency repairs, but it can also be used in other mitigation measures.

According to a White House statement, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will coordinate recovery operations in affected areas.
