A class action lawsuit was filed alleging that a multinational aerospace and defense systems giant formerly known as Raytheon Technologies has been discriminating against job seekers who are 40 years or older. The lawsuit claims that the language used in certain job ads indicated a preference for younger workers, violating age discrimination laws. The company denies the allegations and states that it complies with all relevant laws. The suit has one named plaintiff and seeks to represent others in a similar situation. The plaintiff has decades of experience but was not considered for recent graduate positions due to his age. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission found that the company’s job advertisements violated age discrimination laws. The case is currently being investigated by the EEOC.
