The number of teenagers using e-cigarettes has significantly decreased since its peak in 2019, according to an annual survey conducted in schools across the United States. In the survey, less than 8 percent of high school students reported vaping in the past month. This is a substantial drop from the over 27 percent reported in 2019. The decline in e-cigarette use was primarily seen among high school students, while middle school use remained relatively stable. The findings raise hopes for a sustained reversal in vaping trends among teens.
