Tesla will suspend production at its factory near Berlin on Friday due to anticipated protests against the planned expansion. The decision comes after people opposed to the expansion announced four days of protests, expressing concerns about clearing the surrounding forest and straining the local water supply. The assembly lines at the plant typically operate on weekdays, and with Thursday being a public holiday, Friday was considered a “bridge day.” The planned production shutdown will begin after the late shift on Wednesday and resume on the nightshift on Sunday. The police have prepared for extensive operations during the protests.
