New York University has resolved a federal lawsuit with students regarding accusations of antisemitism on campus. The settlement brings an end to a lawsuit filed in November 2023 by three Jewish students who claimed that NYU failed to enforce its anti-discrimination policies and violated their civil rights. As part of the settlement, NYU has agreed to create a new position called the “Title VI Coordinator” to ensure adequate response to allegations of discrimination and harassment. The university also committed to producing annual reports on disciplinary data and responses to discrimination or harassment allegations.
